A great way to keep everything organised in terms of pages on the website, I wanted to create a website map so I knew every link and page that had to be created. By creating a map of this website it allowed me to easily see what pages I needed to create.
Also, to integrate a basic website map to a website is another way for users to easily maneuver around a website should they struggle with the design of the navigation for example. This could be an issue for disabled web users.

It's not really a necessity for smaller websites to carry out this practice (however, it is very helpful), but it can be an essential process in creating a large website, considering there are a lot of pages that need to be made and could easily get lost if not properly listed etc.
